Web apps and business systems
When the spreadsheet is not enough any more and an off-the-shelf program does not do what you need, you build. I have platforms in production handling orders, shifts, quotes and stock for companies that use them every day: 19 restaurants on one, a group of companies on another, a tour operator on a third. They open in a browser, they work on a phone, and nothing gets installed.
The starting point is not a screen, it is understanding how you work right now: who enters what, where the time goes, which spreadsheets are doing the rounds by email. The data model gets built from that, and only afterwards the screens. It is the reason these systems can be extended months later without being rebuilt.
Half a day together looking at the real process, not the one it is supposed to be. Almost always it turns out the problem is not where you thought it was.
We decide what a customer, an order and a shift actually are, and who is allowed to see them. It is the boring part, and it is the part that decides whether in a year you can add a feature or have to start again.
Not a presentation: a real part of the system, online, that you can use. Usually the part that wastes most of your time today.
This is where the quality of the result gets decided. You use it the way you really work, you note down what does not add up, and I change it. No system comes out right first time.
Invoicing, payments, email, messaging, the programs you already have. This is the point where the system stops being an archive and starts saving you hours.

Living systems change. I stay the person you come to for fixes and new features, with releases that do not stop anybody from working.
Everything I build runs on technology that does not tie you to me: Python and FastAPI at the back, React and Next.js at the front, MySQL or SQL Server databases, and the code in a repository that belongs to you. If one day you want to change supplier, you can.
Not prototypes: systems in production, with people working in them every day. Each case study sets out the problem it started from, the technical choices and the numbers.
It depends how much it has to do and how many people use it: a system for three people and a multi-company platform are not the same price. The first meeting and the quote are free, and if I think an off-the-shelf program would suit you better, I say so.
The first usable piece in four to six weeks, because that is what it takes to know whether we are on the right track. A complete platform grows over months: the system for the digital agencies reached full use after four months of continuous work.
Yes. I build them as web applications: they open in the browser on computer, tablet and phone, with nothing to install. Where an installable app is genuinely needed, as with the handhelds the GNAMMM waiters carry, I build that too.
On Google Cloud or Microsoft Azure, inside Europe, with automatic backups. The data is yours and exportable, and the code sits in a repository in your name: if one day you want to change supplier you do not have to start from scratch.
Yes. My base is in Abruzzo, in central Italy, and I come in person where the distance allows it, but every platform I have in production I have also run remotely, with clients in other regions and abroad. For a project of this size I do recommend a first meeting face to face, in person or by video call.
